The Freeman Lab and Researchers at the University of California, San Diego, have developed a low-cost test strip that uses sugar to detect COVID-19 within minutes. “We tapped into nature to reimagine viral diagnostics,” said Ronit Freeman, co-corresponding author of the paper.
