The Freeman Lab has access to a multitude of instruments throughout the UNC ecosystem. Within our immediate lab are an assortment of powerful tools with which to conduct cutting-edge research.  

GeSiM Bioscaffolder 3.3

The bioscaffolder is a powerful, high-precision soft matter 3D printer.  Capabilities include tissue engineering, additive manufacturing and gel layering.

 

The device affords the Freeman Lab capabilities in cell biology, drug discovery, and more.

GeSiM Nano-Plotter 2.1

The nano-plotter provides capabilities to work with a wide range of bio-chemical and substances. Pipetting with extremely high levels of precision, we are able to arrange intricate and deliberate arrays for sample preparation
